The European Commission delegation is organising the 6th European Film Festival from October 31 to November 12 in conjunction with the embassies of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
The aim of the festival is to show the wide variety of European productions and to present the European cultural heritage.
The films will be screened at the Eden Century Cinemas Complex (Screen 11) at 8.15 p.m., with the exception of two, which will be presented to the Gozitan audience at the Citadel Theatre on November 8 and 9 at 7 p.m.
Tickets at Lm1 will be available at the Eden Century Cinemas tel. 21376401 and the Citadel Theatre tel. 21559955 as from Monday.
Two family films will be screened again at St. James Cavalier, the Finnish film 'Tommy and the Wildcat' and the Dutch film 'Molokai - The Story of Fr Damien' on November 10 and November 17 respectively at 4 p.m.
This year proceeds will be collected in aid of Dar il-Kaptan, a respite home managed by the Foundation for Respite Care Services, which was inaugurated in 1991.
