Holders Sliema face Birkirkara while Hibernians play Valletta in the semi-finals of the Super Five Cup as the draws of the event were held yesterday at the MFA headquarters.

This year's semi-finals are a repeat of last year's matches when Sliema had the better of Birkirkara 3-0 on their way to lifting the trophy. In the final they beat Valletta 4-1, who had defeated Hibs 2-1 in the last four.

The two semi-finals will be played on October 31 and November 1. The third place play-off is scheduled for November 6 while the final is set for November 7. All matches will be played at the Centenary Stadium.

The draw of the Trophy first round were also held yesterday with all the Premier League sides drawn against Division One opposition.

Pietà vs Lija; Gozo vs Mosta; Hamrun vs Msida; St Patrick vs Marsa; Mars-axlokk vs Senglea; Rabat vs Floriana; Balzan vs Mqabba; Xghajra vs Naxxar. Games to be played on November 2, 9, 16 and 23 at Centenary Stadium.
