Masquerade's 2002-2003 theatre season, launched yesterday, promises a perfect blend of drama, comedies and musicals.
After the success garnered by productions like Amadeus and Broken Glass last season, Masquerade opens the season at the Manoel Theatre with 'Dinner with Friends', the 2000 Pulitzer Prize Winner for Best Drama.
The play will be staged at the Manoel Theatre between October 25 and 27.
For their second play this season, Masquerade have joined forces with Theatreworx to produce another Pulitzer Prize winner - Proof by David Auburn.
Proof runs at the Manoel Theatre between November 22 and 24.
With its up-and-coming youngsters, Masquerade will then stage the hugely enjoyable musical version of the Christmas story - Rock Nativity.
This musical will run in the theatre of St James over the Christmas period.
Masquerade's next treat for the season will be the popular, much-loved musical classic Cabaret by Kander & Ebb.
Set in 1930s Berlin, Cabaret is haunting love story and has unforgettable music.
The musical runs over two weekends at the Manoel Theatre between January 31 and February 2, 2003.
At the end of January, Andy Smith - who runs the Anna Scher Theatre in London - will visit Malta to hold open auditions for a comedy by Alan Ayckbourn - A Chorus of Disapproval that will run over three weekends in March at St James Cavalier Theatre.
After the recent hilarious Deja Revue, Masquerade closes its season at the Manoel Theatre with yet another entertaining evening of comical sketches and songs.
Re-Vueing the Situation runs over two weekends between May 30 and June 8, and will bring Masquerade's season at the Manoel Theatre to a close.
