Following the success of the National Cinema Day and the two Children Cinema Days earlier this year, KRS Film Distributors and the cinemas are planning to launch a Students' Cinema Day, to be held during the mid-term holidays, on November 2.

Forty screens will exhibit films at reduced prices of admission of Lm1.15 for students under 12 years and Lm1.50 for those of 12 years and over.

Those aged 16 and over must present their student card to be entitled to a reduced price ticket.

Film shows at most of the cinemas in Malta will commence at 9 a.m. and run till late night. The two screen cinema in Gozo will have screenings in the evening and late at night.

The following are some of the films showing: XXX, Black Knight, The Importance of Being Earnest, Red Dragon, Swimfan, Insomnia, Road to Perdition and Signs.

Provided that there is a favourable response to the first Students Cinema Day, KRS Film Distributors and the cinemas intend to make this an annual event.
