Diabetes Association annual camp for young members

The Maltese Diabetes Association recently organised its annual camp in Gozo for its young members.

The camp, sponsored by HSBC Cares For Children Fund, is for children aged between 8-14. There were also various educational activities on how best to deal with diabetes.

The association has more than 1,000 members. Apart from organising events for children like this camp, it aims to educate its members and the public on diabetes and how to prevent complications arising from it.

Educational talks are organised on a monthly basis for adult members as well as teenage and parent and children groups.
