Pamela Kerr recently returned from the UK after attending an intensive dance course specialising in the preparation for the associate qualification of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.

The course, organised by the Cecchetti Society, was held at the London Studio Centre.

At the end of it, Ms Kerr got a highly commended grade in her associate examination.

She performs regularly with The Dance Workshop and is currently responsible for the junior students and the flamenco course at this studio.

Four other students from The Dance Workshop also furthered their dance studies abroad during the summer.

The Dance Workshop principal Theresa Lungaro-Mifsud encourages students from the upper school to attend international dance courses in the various disciplines.

"Competing at an international level has always encouraged talented students to strive to improve their technique and to aim for higher levels," she said.
