On September 6, the TVM transmission of 'Trial and Retribution', a police investigation drama that relies for its effect on continuity and the build-up to a climax, was cut five or six times (I lost count) for short publicity slots.
When, eventually it was stopped for the 11 p.m. news, it seemed to me that it had not quite finished. I never found out because by this time I had lost interest and switched off. I consider this as very poor service and one which puts the interest of the broadcaster before that of the viewer.
