The Archbishop, Mgr Joseph Mercieca will be celebrating a thanksgiving concelebrated Mass at St John's Co-Cathedral, Valletta, on Sunday at 6 p.m. to mark the 28th anniversary of his episcopal ordination.

The Curia encouraged the offering of prayers for the Archbishop's needs and according to his intentions. It also encouraged participation in the thanksgiving Mass.

The invitation is being extended, in particular, to the young people who attend the meetings organised by the Centre for Vocations, and their parents, the Curia said.

Mgr Mercieca was consecrated Bishop on September 29, 1974. He was made Archbishop of Malta on December 12, 1976.
