The Broadcasting Authority has written to the Public Broadcasting Services' chief executive asking him to make Bondi+ presenter Lou Bondì aware of his obligation not to do or say anything that could in any way prejudice the judicial process or the right to a fair hearing of the cases of former Chief Justice Noel Arrigo and Judge Patrick Vella.

The Bondi+ episode scheduled to be broadcast today will be dealing with the issue.

Mr Bondì was reported to have said that his programme today would be focusing on the case of alleged bribery, the BA said in a letter to the PBS's chief executive officer Andrew Psaila.

The BA said Mr Bondì had explicitly declared he did not feel bound by the sub judice convention, intended not to influence the outcome of a case, and that nothing would therefore preclude him from investigating and commenting on pending court cases.
