Fr Frankie Cini, of the St Paul Missionary Society, recently celebrated his first solemn Mass at Zebbug parish church.

Fr Cini was accompanied by the Santa Marija Band, from his home in Madonna Tac-Cicri Street to the parish church. The panegyric was delivered by Fr Martin Cilia, MSSP. A reception was held later at Villa Fiorita, Marsalforn.

Fr Cini obtained a BA (Hons) in Psychology and a Bachelor in Sacred Theology from the University of Malta. He then pursued further studies at St Paul's University, Ottawa, Canada, where he obtained a Master's degree in Pastoral Group Work. He also carried out missionary work in Peru.

Fr Cini began his pastoral work last week as head of care at St Joseph Home, St Venera.
