The Malta Canoe Union (MCU) is holding its annual National Sprint Championships at Marsamxett Harbour on Sunday September 29, from 9 a.m. onwards.

All races shall commence in Sa Maison area before the Gozo ferry berth, and end in the vicinity of the Ferries at Marsamxett, Valletta.

The programme shall include 1,000-metre sprint races for male and female canoeists in the Espada K1 sprint kayak class, the K1 Seakayak class and the K2 doubles class.

At the end of the races, a presentation ceremony will be held during which the National Sportsmanship Award will be awarded to the MCU president Craig Wightman.
