Two new Aids cases and three cases of HIV positive were reported in the first eight months this year, Health Minister Louis Deguara told parliament yesterday. One of the latter involved a foreigner.

He told Mr Carmelo Abela (MLP) that the the total number of Aids cases reported up to the end of August was of 53, all of which involved Maltese residents. There were 197 HIV positive cases in the same period, of which two were foreigners.
