It is indeed sad and shameful that Gnien Pawlu Boffa has been allowed to degenerate and is in such a bad state. Not even the name of this one-time prime minister is visible on the marble in memory of his name.

Dr Boffa was one of the most popular and loved public figures, although admittedly the younger generation know little about his lifetime of dedicated service.

With rising unemployment after the war, his administration, under J. Cole, helped many Maltese to emigrate and live decently. I wonder what the situation would have been now had those thousands not emigrated.
