GALEA. On September 15, MIRIAM née Aquilina aged 57, passed peacefully away at her residence in Birguma, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Paul, her daughter Marilena, her brother John Aquilina and his wife Madeleine, her sister Helena and her husband Charles Galea Bonavia, her mother-in-law Olga Galea, her brother-in-law Richard and his wife Cecilia, her sisters-in-law Ingrid and her husband Richard Turkhud, Stella and her husband Victor Borg Barthet, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for Naxxar parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement will be appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.

Postage-Paid Envelopes

Maltapost said it would be issuing postage-paid envelopes as from today.

Initially envelopes would only be distributed on order to businesses and commercial establishments, but they would shortly be available to the public at all Maltapost branch counters.

Philatelists who may wish to acquire postage-paid envelopes handstamped with the datestamp of the first day of issue, may submit their order by phoning Maltapost customer care on Freephone number 800 7 2244.

Examination Certificates

Certificates of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Series 3, 2002 examinations may be collected from the Examinations Department in Floriana and the Examinations Centre in Gozo for Gozitan candidates.

Certificates can only be collected on presentation of candidates' identity card and result slip. When certificates are collected by a parent, the ID card of both the parent and the candidate should be presented.

Course For Volunteers

The Cana Movement is planning to organise a course for volunteers to run its family planning courses, with sessions to be held at the Catholic Institute on Friday evenings between October and June.

Sittings Put Off
