Yesterday's feast of Our Lady of Graces at Zabbar was marked by the traditional bike and motorcycle pilgrimage in which hundreds take part.

Motorcyles left Mosta at 9.45 a.m. and bicycles left from Rabat at the same time, bound for Zabbar and converging into one along the route, ending with a prayer meeting.

The pilgrimage has been held for the past 51 years following the coronation of the image of Our Lady of Graces at the Zabbar sanctuary. Pope Pius XII had declared Our Lady of Graces to be the protector of cyclists.
