I was bemused by minister Tonio Borg's inspirational muse when he recklessly declared (September 9) that, before 1987 under a Labour administration, "libel actions used to be hurled like thunderbolts against any newspaper which expressed even a value judgement which was not music to some politician's ears, let alone errors of fact".

Could the minister, perhaps, kindly elucidate and give us a list of the thunderbolt-like actions, by whom and to whom, during the 16 years of Labour administration?

I cannot wait!

And, by the way, what does he mean by "real perceptions"? And, by the way as well, what does he mean by "the pure waters of our justice system"? Queiroz? Zeppi l-Hafi? Azzabi...?
