The Iva Movement has written to the Broadcasting Authority requesting slots on Public Broadcasting Services for its own information spots on the EU - and it is insisting that they should be provided free of charge.

The movement said in a letter to the BA that following the recent court decision to allow MLP free airtime on PBS, it too wanted airtime.

"This is not only to express the movement's opinions about the Malta-EU Information Centre spots, but also to respond to the political spots prepared by the MLP about them; in this way one would regain the balance in broadcasting on the national debate on Malta and Europe between those movements that agree with EU membership and those that don't."
