Obituary

AGIUS. On September 7, at home in Victoria, Gozo, GIORGIA, aged 82 years, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss, her daughter Marie-Josette and her husband Carmel Camilleri and their daughter Abigail, Bernardette, widow of her son Adrian and their children Joseph, Mark and Maria, her brother Salvu and his family, her nieces Maria and Josephine Callus, her life-long companions Dolores Azzopardi and Maria Cutajar, relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral was held yesterday at the Cathedral in Victoria.

ATTARD. On September 7, at home, CATALDO of Rabat, aged 74, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Doris, his sons Natalino and his wife Marvic, Fr Paul OFM, Mark and his wife Marianne, his grandchildren Sarah, Warren, Martha and Marilyn, his in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
Mass praesente cadavere will be held today at St Paul's parish church, Rabat at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Sta Margarita Cemetery Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement would be greatly appreciated.

DELICATA. On September 7, at St Luke's Hospital, DANIEL, aged 5, went to meet the Risen Lord. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his parents Steven and Maria, his beloved sisters Greta and Rebecca, his grandparents Margaret and Lino Delicata and Josephine and Victor Gatt, his uncles and aunts David, Chris and Michelle, Joseph and Roseanne, Ruth and Joe and Graziella, his cousins Brendan, Darren, Terrance, Jack and Adam, his great-aunts and great-uncles, Rose and Charles Spiteri, Lily and Michael Attard of Canada and those from the Gatt family, his cousins Dr Veronique Spiteri and Dr Michelle Spiteri and those in Canada, besides other relatives and friends, especially David Agius, whom Daniel was so fond of.
The celebration of Daniel's meeting with the Risen Lord will be held today at 2.30 p.m. at St Julian's parish church, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Daniel was a joyful and adorable young boy and it is therefore the wish of his parents for all the family and friends not to wear colours of mourning.

LA ROSA DE CRISTOFARO. On September 8, at St Luke's Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 72, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Helen née Carter, his children Tonio, Anna and her husband Edward Smith, Marisa and her husband Norman Vella, his grandchildren Joseph and Helena, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow September 10 at 8.30 a.m. for Ta' l-Ibrag Parish Church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Razzett tal-Hbiberija, Marsascala will be appreciated.

SPITERI FITENI. On September 8, at St Luke's Hospital, MARIA, aged 84. She leaves to mourn her loss her brothers Louis, John and his wife Betty, her niece and nephews Johanna, David and their families, Patrick, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 8 a.m. for Christ the King church, Paola where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi will be appreciated.

Requiem Masses

On the trigesima die of the death of the Noble ANN SAID DEI MARCHESI CASSAR DESAIN, a Mass will be said today at 7.30 p.m. at St Patrick's church, Sliema. The attendance of relatives and friends will be greatly appreciated. Her brother-in-law Bernard von Brockdorff.

Poezijaplus

The September edition of Poezijaplus on September 30 will be dedicated to eroticism in Maltese literature.

Poezijaplus will try to understand how far the Maltese literature goes insofar as this theme is concerned.

Other related issues will also be highlighted.

Poezijaplus organises a literary meeting on the last Monday of each month at Café Diva, the Manoel Theatre in Valletta.

Requiem Eucharist

A Requiem Eucharist will be held at the Anglican Cathedral on Wednesday ay 10.30 a.m.

All those who died in the tragic events of September 11, 2001 in the United States will be remembered.

All are welcome to attend.

Spiritual meeting

A spiritual meeting for the members of the Padre Pio prayer groups is being held at the Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Marsa on Friday at 7 p.m.

The Guardamanga group is meeting at the Madonna ta' Loretu Church in Guardamangia tomorrow at 6 p.m.
