Central Bank
I refer to the letter "Central Bank" (August 7) from Alexander Borg, manager, external relations office of the Central Bank denying my claim about the appointment of a foreign economist to take over the tasks of chief economist at the bank.
It has been confirmed to me that a foreign consultant is being contracted for a lengthy period by the Central Bank to carry out work that has been done so far by the head of the economics department who is retiring shortly.
Staff at CBM have already been informed of this by top management.
