More than 700 DVDs and 70 CDs, all pirated, were seized from a residence in Pembroke in a raid by the police economic crimes unit yesterday afternoon.

Police said a 46-year-old man was being held and was expected to be arraigned in court soon.

In a separate case, a raid at the Sta Venera Bocci Club led to the seizure of four cartons of cigarettes on which no duty had been paid, the police said.
