A Libyan man was yesterday given a nine-month jail term suspended for 18 months for forging a passport.

Ali Abdul Mohammed, 22, was also permanently interdicted for the forgery and being in Malta without leave from the immigration authorities on Sunday.

He will be deported.

Police Inspector Denise Mula prosecuted.
