Injured two policemen
An Englishman was yesterday conditionally discharged for three years for slightly injuring two policemen after getting drunk on Saturday night.
Michael Hammond, 25, pleaded guilty to assaulting and injuring PC Raymond Attard and PC Sandro Mamo, disobeying them and failing to give them his particulars.
He also pleaded guilty to being drunk and incapable of taking care of himself in a public place, breaching the peace, uttering obscene words in public and relapsing.
Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted.
