The marriage took place on August 24, at The Falcon Hotel, Castle Ashby, Northants, between ROBIN, widower of Linda, son of the late Capt. Harry Beck and of Mrs Anne Beck of Peterborough, to JOYCE, widow of Geoffrey, daughter of Mr and Mrs Roy Tear of Cardiff, Wales. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attended by her daughters Eleanor and Sarah, and Robin's daughters Laura and Mary. Edward Beck was best man to his father. Mr Joe G. Bonello and Mrs Alison Ambrose witnessed the ceremony. A luncheon was served in a marquee in the gardens of the hotel, where later in the evening a buffet supper and dancing to a disco was enjoyed until the early hours. The couple will honeymoon in Mauritius in October.

The marriage took place on Saturday, August 31, at the Good Shepherd chapel, Balzan, between KARL, son of Mr and Mrs Charles Spiteri of St Julian's, and ANDREANA, daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph G. DeBattista of Mosta. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Joe Borg and Fr Bernard Bartolo. Mr Jeremy de Maria and Ms Ondine Gaerty witnessed the ceremony. Mr Mario DeBattista carried out the duties of best man. The bride was attended by Miss Maria DeBattista and Miss Simone Pace O'Shea. Michael DeBattista was pageboy. Mr John Debattista and Mr Peter Pace O'Shea acted as ushers. A dinner was later held at the Corinthia Palace, Attard.
Mr ADRIAN ZERAFA and Miss CONNIE FRANCES ATTARD
The marriage took place on August 17 between ADRIAN, son of Mr and Mrs Paul Zerafa of Birkirkara, and CONNIE FRANCES, daughter of the late Joseph Attard and of Mrs Candelaria Attard of tal-Virtù, Rabat. The bride was given away by her uncle, Mr Augusto Reyes of Canada. Nuptial Mass was celebrated at St Dominic's church, Rabat, by Fr Hugo Cremona, OP. Mr Mark Zerafa carried out the duties of best man. Ms Maria Pia Attard was maid of honour. Ms Claire Attard, Ms Mary Anne Reyes and Ms Lourdes Zerafa acted as bridesmaids, Ms Amanda Darmanin was flower-girl, and Master Luca Attard was pageboy. Mr Charles Attard and Mr Philip Camilleri acted as witnesses. A reception was held afterwards at the Coastline Suite, Coastline Hotel.

Obituary
ANASTASI. On August 31, MARY, née Meli, of Sliema, aged 74, passed peacefully away at her daughter's residence in Lija, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Andrew and his wife Patricia, Angela and her husband Professor Peter Xuereb, her most beloved grandchildren Christopher, David, Karl, Roberta, Simon and Matthew, her brothers Edwin and his wife Miriam and John and his wife Josephine and their families, her in-laws, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

SULLIVAN. BLANCHE E., passed peacefully away at the age of 94, tenderly cared for by the Franciscan Sisters at Pax et Bonum, Mosta. Sadly missed by her sisters Yvonne, widow of Tony Amodeo, and Margaret, widow of John Grima, her brothers John and Walter and their spouses, her nephews and nieces.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 1.30 p.m. for St John of the Cross parish church, Ta' Xbiex, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
