A number of Eurovision performers are taking part in this year's Malta International Song Contest 2002, to be held on October 25-26.
Nikki French (UK 2000), Baby Doll (Yugoslavia 1991), and Christine Argyri (Cyprus 2000 in duet with Alex Panayi) have confirmed their participation.
Also taking part are Luminita Anghel (Romanian national finals 2000 and 2002), Alice from the Czech Republic and Marat Serbayat from Kazhakistan.
Ten international artistes will compete for the title of Best International Singer at this year's Malta International Song Contest.
The participant countries are (in running order): Slovenia, Kazhakistan, UK, the Czech Republic, Yugoslavia, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Cyprus.
Twelve Maltese artistes will also take part in the song contest but in a different category. The deadline for song entry submission is Tuesday. The final line-up of 12 Maltese entries will be announced shortly after.
