Bulgarian guest at 'Maria Bambina' concert

Bulgarian soprano Andriana Yordanova will be the special guest at the annual concert by the Choral and Orchestral Society 'Maria Bambina' at the Mellieha parish square on Sunday at 8 p.m.

The concert, organised as part of the programme to celebrate the feast of Our Lady at Mellieha, has been held for the past nine years.

Yordanova is also qualified in teaching and has been leading singing courses for the last years in Bulgaria and in Malta.

Her repertoire includes works by Puccini, Verdi, Mozart and Calman, Strauss and Lehar among others.

She has performed in Bulgaria, Italy, Germany and Austria and last January she was the special guest at a concert at the Sliema band club with Maltese pianist Ramona Zammit Formosa.
