KNZ to organise international seminar to discuss youth policy
Between September 5 and 7, the National Youth Council is going to organise an international seminar at the Park Hotel, Sliema. The theme of the seminar is: "Youth Policy: A Small States Perspective", and will discuss various issues arising from the youth policy both of Malta and of the European Union.
The seminar will coincide with the process of the revision of the Maltese National Youth Policy, the draft copy of which is soon to be issued.
The seminar will be addressed by various distinguished personalities who are knowledgeable in the subjects to be discussed. Workshops will also be held in small groups, each tackling a specific subject in detail.
Though the main participants for this seminar will be the various youths coming from European and Mediterranean countries, a limited number of Maltese participants will also be accepted provided prior booking is made with the National Youth Council by not later than noon on Friday.
For more information please leave the contact details with the secretariat of the Youth Council on tel: 2124-5375 or on e-mail info@knz.org.mt.
The application form should be duly filled up, including Lm2.50 per day per participant. Price includes morning and afternoon coffee breaks.
Those willing to join the other foreign participants at a buffet lunch as well, may also do so at a specially subsidised price of Lm2.50 per day per participant.
Due to conference hall restrictions, only a few Maltese participants will be accepted and selection will be on a first come first served basis.
Payment can be made beforehand or at the door, provided booking has been made in advance. Also, participants may choose to attend specific days or the whole programme of the seminar.
This seminar falls under the Youth Action Programme administered by the European Union Programmes Unit within the Ministry for Education and Culture. Bank of Valletta and Air Malta are the main sponsors.
