The body of Line-Marie Andersen was flown to Oslo yesterday, three weeks after the 14-year-old student died at St Luke's Hospital in a tragedy which has raised several questions.

Dag Gaassand, spokesman for the Andersen family, said the body of the girl arrived in the Norwegian capital yesterday morning and was expected to be transported to her home-town of Bergen.

Miss Andersen died four days after she was admitted to hospital from what the health minister had said was gastro-enteritis.

A post-mortem revealed the girl had died of intracranial haemorrhage.

Mr Gaassand said her funeral would be held on Friday at 11 a.m.

When asked, Mr Gaassand said the family had still not received any information about the two inquiries ordered after the girl's death.

On Thursday, the police said the magisterial inquiry had been concluded, but the director general and registrar of courts clarified yesterday that it was still being carried out.

The health division said on August 13 that its internal investigation had been completed and that the results would be published once the magisterial inquiry was concluded.

Mr Gaasland said that contrary to some reports, the family had no intention of seeking another inquiry in Norway.
