Walid Bazena, the 22-year-old Libyan wanted in connection with the murder of Rachel Muscat on Monday last week, is expected to be arraigned in court this morning.
Bazena turned himself in at the St Julian's police station on Sunday at around 9 p.m.
The police had been searching for him for the past week, after discovering 20-year-old Ms Muscat's body at his residence.
She had suffered multiple stab wounds.
Police sources said the man had been in hiding ever since, but appeared to be in a normal state when he gave himself up.
