The rugged majesty of the cliffs at Xlendi provided an extraordinary backdrop to the sheer beauty of the cruise liner Wind Surf as she left Gozo yesterday afternoon.

The 312 passengers on board were taken on tours of the sister island after they spent Sunday in Malta, when the Wind Surf was berthed at Pinto Wharf in Grand Harbour.

The Wind Surf is owned by Wingstar, a Seattle-based American firm which operates cruises in conjunction with Carnival Cruises.

Registered in the Bahamas, the Wind Surf was built in 1989 and has an overall length of 187 metres. The company is represented in Malta by O.F. Gollcher.
