The feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is being celebrated at Mount Carmel church, Xlendi, today. Mass will be celebrated at 6 and 8 a.m. and at noon. Concelebrated Pontifical Mass, led by Bishop Nikol Cauchi, will be held at 10 a.m.

Games, sponsored by Munxar council, will be held at 4 p.m.

Mass will also be celebrated at 6 p.m., followed by Second Vespers at 6.45 and a procession, led by Nadur Archpriest Mgr Salvu Muscat with the participation of the Leone Band, at 7.30.

A concert, An evening at the Opera - 2, organised by the Gaulitanus Choir in collaboration with the Gozo Cultural Council, is being held in the courtyard of the Gozo Ministry today at 8 p.m. Entrance is free.

Fr Frankie Cini of St Paul Missionary Society (MSSP), of Zebbug, will celebrate his first Solemn Mass at Zebbug parish church today at 6 p.m.

Adoration, to mark the fourth apparition of Fatima, is being held at Ta' Hamet church on Monday at 5.30 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 7.30 p.m.

A summer tennis league, organised by the Gozo Island Tennis Club, starts at the Gozo Sports Complex tomorrow. Applications may be obtained from the sports complex or by calling Ray Camilleri (tel: 7971-0769).

A diocesan annual pilgrimage, organised by the Diocesan Commission for the Apostolate of the Laity (KDAL) and led by Bishop Cauchi, to Our Lady of the Grotto church, Rabat (Malta), is being held on Tuesday. The ferry leaves Mgarr harbour at 5.15 p.m. Tickets at Lm1.50 may be obtained from all parish churches until tomorrow.

Various activities are being held in Zebbug this week.

On Tuesday, Mass, celebrated by Caritas Gozo director Fr Emanuel Curmi, is being held at Zebbug parish church at 7 p.m. The Ghaqda Qlub Generuzi of Zebbug will give a donation to charity homes run by the Gozo diocese.

A traditional meal to mark the feast of the Assumption, with the participation of Ira Losco, the Broadcasters, ir-Ringo and il-Bamboccu, is being held on the main square of Zebbug at 8.30 p.m.

On Thursday, a barbecue, organised by the Zebbug Rovers Football Club will be held near the parish church at 8.30 p.m.

On Friday, marches performed by the Santa Marija Band will be held at 9.30 p.m. A fireworks display will be held on Assumption Square at midnight.

On Saturday, a short procession will be held at 6.30 p.m. It will be followed by concelebrated Mass, to mark the 100th anniversary of the ordination of Mgr Joseph Depiro, the founder of the St Paul Missionary Society, led by the society's vicar, Fr Silvio Bezzina MSSP. It will be followed by a Eucharistic celebration.

The Cittadina and La Stella Bands will perform on Assumption Square at 9.30 p.m. and the St Gregory Band will perform marches through the main streets of Zebbug. A fireworks display will be held at 11.30 p.m.

Ziffa Muzikali Sajfija, a concert organised by the Santa Marija Band in collaboration with Zebbug council, is being held on Assumption Square, Zebbug, on Wednesday. The concert, with the participation of Jacqueline Vella, Reno Micallef, the Chorus Regina Angelorum and with Gillian Attard as special guest, is being directed by Mro Joseph Grech.

A variety show, organised by Ghajnsielem council with the participation of Ira Losco, is being held on Ghajnsielem's main square, on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

An Anglican Service in English, celebrated by senior chaplain Fr Alan Woods, is being held at the chapel of the Sacred Heart Seminary, Enrico Mizzi Street, Victoria, on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

A coffee morning in aid of Gozitan missionaries in Guatemala, is being held at Ta' Pinu Cafeteria on Thursday at 9 a.m. Tickets at Lm1.25 may be obtained by calling: 2155-6509.

The University of Malta Gozo Centre is holding a series of events to mark the 10th anniversary since it was set up.

An Evening of Drama, with Agave Adagjo, written by Vince Vella and directed by Josette Ciappara, and Lisistrata, by Aristophanes, translated by Joe Friggieri and directed by Josette Ciappara, will be staged on Friday at 8 p.m.

Mass, celebrated by Bishop Nikol Cauchi, will be held on Saturday at 6 p.m.

An Evening of Popular Classical Music, conducted by Mro Joe Fenech with the participation of soprano Anita Cauchi, pianist Livia Galea and the Choir of the University of the Third Age, will also be held on Saturday at 8 p.m.
