A Malta Tourism Authority billboard promoting Malta holidays in Germany has placed first in a survey of advertising billboards.

The Malta campaign billboard, which carried the slogan Malta ist etwas Besonderes (Malta is something special), was judged to portray the most effective and appealing advertising message and motif.

The nationwide survey was made up of 60 men and women, between the ages of 16 and 50, who completed questionnaires related to 16 billboards.

The Malta billboard was preferred to others which advertised major consumer brands such as McDonald's.
