The Malta Medical Students' Assocation is holding a number of sessions to raise awareness about HIV and Aids, between today and Friday, in Marsalforn, Victoria and Ramla Bay.
The island is packed with visitors over the coming days, including many young people who could benefit from the activity.
The association represents all medical students studying in Malta. Within MMSA are several standing committees, one of which is a standing committee on reproductive health including Aids, known as SCORA.
SCORA works to raise awareness about issues concerning reproductive health, including the global HIV/Aids crisis, organising various activities.
Medical students in SCORA T-shirts will be distributing informative leaflets and ribbons. The leaflets are provided by the Department of Public Health, and consist of information regarding the spread of Aids and sexually transmitted infections, and how this can be prevented.
The students themselves will also be there to explain the information, and to pass on contact details to anyone requiring them.
