Auditions for Cabaret

Auditions for the classic musical Cabaret being staged by Masquerade Theatre Company are to be held at St James Cavalier in Valletta on August 28.

Anyone interested in auditioning should call at the venue on the day between 6 and 10 p.m.

Those to be auditioned should prepare a song, a theatre speech and a dance. They are also asked to take with them a CV, a recent photo, and their own sheet music if not singing songs from Cabaret itself.

The musical by Kander and Ebb will be directed by Anthony Bezzina, who has directed musicals such as The King and I, Annie, Little Shop of Horrors and most recently Amadeus.

The production will be staged at the Manoel Theatre in January and February.

Set in 1930s Berlin, Cabaret is a haunting love story with unforgettable music.

The recent Broadway revival of Cabaret won four Tony Awards.
