Rashid Chouhal was at the end of a disappointing performance in the qualifying round of the long jump event held yesterday morning in Munich, after the Maltese athlete failed to complete a regular jump in three attempts.

Chouhal, who was bidding to improve his own national record of 7.65m, was eliminated from the competition after placing eleventh in Group A along with Bulgarian athlete Petar Dachev who also failed to register a good leap after three jumps.
