A collection, in aid of the Arka Foundation Respite Centre, is being held aboard the Gozo Channel ferries on Saturday, next Sunday and on August 13 and 14.

The respite centre, which cares for people with disability and their families, offers its services to Maltese, Gozitans and foreigners.

A spokesman for the centre said: "The day-to-day running of such a centre, where specialised and personalised care is given, involves large sums of money. An appeal is made to passengers to spare a little cash for a very worthy cause."
