Local deejay JJoy to perform on MTV today

Local house music deejay JJoy will be performing live on MTV Europe's popular show The Fridge at 5 p.m. today from their London studios.

The Fridge, MTV's weekly live studio show, normally hosts live performances by bands featuring alternative music and it's the first time a house music deejay will be performing live on this show.

At 7 p.m. MTV will also screen the MTV Summerdance party held at the Westin Dragonara Resort last Saturday, hosted by Dusk Promotions in conjunction with MTV, which turned out to be very successful among locals and foreigners alike.

During their four-day stay, MTV Europe's crew showed particular interest in the island and considered it a "great party venue".

The crew filmed various locations and parties held during their stay, one of which was held at Amazonia on Sunday afternoon.

"MTV is also planning to come over next year to organise yet another great event," JJoy added.

During the MTV parties, the crew interviewed several local and foreign patrons who gave their views on the local dance scene.

The local events were hosted by MTV's The Fridge host VJ Mimi K.
