Carlsberg promotion at beer festival

Over the next weekend, young people can get extra fun at the world beers area at this year's Farsons great beer festival being held at Ta' Qali.

Any adult buying a bottle of Carlsberg or seen drinking Carlsberg on Saturday and Sunday will be given a ticket by a Carlsberg promoter to participate in the Human Football Table game situated behind the World Beers Area.

This fun game is very similar to table soccer, but with real people.

Persons are tied to a bar set up on a huge inflatable "table-soccer", just like the little players in a normal table-soccer game. Two teams of eight persons play against each other. The aim is the same as a regular game of football: to score the most goals before time's up. The only and significant difference is that one is stuck to an iron bar limiting one's movement during the game.

Carlsberg drinkers also have a chance of participating in a lottery draw, which will be drawn on Sunday, the last day of the festival.

"Every adult who purchases three Carlsberg bottles from the World Beers Area will be entitled to a lottery ticket for a free flight to any European destination of their choice on Lufthansa Airlines", Alison Bezzina, Carlsberg brand executive, said.

Lufthansa and Howard's Travel are offering the Carlsberg lottery prize.
