Bishop's support to missions

The Bishop of Gozo, Mgr Nikol Cauchi, offered his support and prayers to members of the Mission Fund after meeting them at the home of the Augustinian Sisters in Ghajnsielem.

The fund collects money for some 500 Maltese and Gozitan missionaries in the Third World.

Since it was set up in 1984, the fund has raised Lm434,809 for the missions as well as sending volunteers over the years to missions in Algeria, Tunisia, Kenya and Guatemala.

A group is going again this year to Guatemala to continue the work started by Fr Joseph Camilleri in his parish.
