The Centre for Communication Technology (CCT) at the University of Malta has announced the introduction of two-year MA evening courses in Journalism and Integrated Marketing Communications.
CCT also announced the Diploma in Journalism that will be available on a part-time basis from October. Following consultation with the Malta Press Club the CCT is offering persons already engaged in the field the possibility of consolidating their work through academic accreditation. The course is based on a flexible modular system and is available during day-time. This should allow those interested to integrate the course with their job.
Through its undergraduate programme, CCT has offered students a multi-skilled degree that respects media structures on the local market and the convergence taking place in the global media scene.
The post-graduate programme intends to offer different areas of specialisation to meet emerging needs. The first two degrees on offer will be an MA in Journalism and an MA programme in Integrated Marketing Communications. This initiative is being sponsored by the Strickland Foundation.
