¤ The feast of St Margaret is being celebrated in Sannat today.

Pontifical Concelebrated Mass, led by Bishop Nikol Cauchi, with the panegyric by Xaghra Archpriest Mgr Eucharist Sultana, will be held at 9.30 a.m. The Missa In Honorem Sanctae Margaritae, by Charles Camilleri, will be performed.

Band marches will be played at 11 a.m. followed by traditional horse and donkey races at 2 p.m.

Solemn vespers and the antiphon, led by Mgr Lawrence Sciberras, will be performed at 6.45 p.m.

A procession, with the statue accompanied by marches performed by the Santa Margerita, Victory and Ite ad Joseph Bands, starts at 7.45 p.m. while the La Stella Band will perform on the main square.

The Ite ad Joseph Band, conducted by Mro Michael Refalo, will also perform on Sannat's main square tomorrow at 9 p.m.

¤ Summer Fest, organised by Nadur Youngsters FC, is being held at Dahlet Qorrot Bay, today.

Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. followed by competitions for children at 9 a.m. Games for children will also be held at 2 p.m. A variety show, with the participation of the Aceline Dancers and the Mnarja Wind Ensemble, will be held at 7 p.m.

¤ A Marian manifestation for a morally cleaner environment, organised by the KDAL, KDZ and other Catholic movements, is being held on Tuesday from 7.30 p.m. The manifestation will leave il-Menqa, Marsalforn, for the promenade, where Bishop Nikol will lead a Concelebrated Mass.

¤ A talent show, with the participation of Gillian Attard, Joe and Veronica Farrugia and the Body Art Dancers, organised by Qala council, will be held on Qala parish square on Tuesday at 9 p.m.

¤ A barbecue for children marking the feast of the Assumption, organised by the Cathedral parish, is being held on the Cathedral Square on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Tickets at 50c may be obtained from the parish offices or from Coney Island Bar (tel: 2155-1289).

¤ Mass for members of the Anglican Chaplaincy, will be celebrated by Fr Norman Beggs, at the Sacred Heart Seminary chapel, Enrico Mizzi Street, Victoria, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. For more information call: 2155-2483.

¤ A barbecue and campfire, organised by the Victoria Scout Group, is being held at the campsite at Dwejra Bay on Thursday at 7.30 p.m. Tickets are available from tomorrow from Briffa New Store, Bookpoint, Josie's Supermarket and Dwejra campsite.

¤ The feast of St Joseph will be celebrated in Qala this week.

On Thursday, a social meeting for emigrants, will be held at Qala parish centre at 9.30 p.m. Marches, through Qala's main streets, will be played by the Ite ad Joseph Band.

On Friday, the Victory and Precursor Bands will perform marches at 9.30 p.m. followed by a fireworks display

A short procession, led by Bishop Paul Giglio, will take place from the Franciscan Sisters' chapel to Qala parish church. Solemn vespers and the antiphon will also be performed followed by a Eucharistic celebration.

Marches will be performed by the Queen Victoria and La Stella Bands at 9.30 p.m. followed by a fireworks display on Qala's main square.

¤ Versatile Tunes, a performance by an instrumental music ensemble, organised by the Product Planning and Development Directorate of the Malta Tourism Authority, is being held at il-Menqa, Marsalforn, on Friday at 9 p.m.

¤ A meeting for those interested in carrying out missionary work, organised by the Gozitan Missionary Group, will be held at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Seminary, Victoria, on Saturday at 5 p.m.

¤ A fund-raising pasta night, organised by the Support lill-Missjunarji Group, is being held at Palazzo Margerita, Sannat, on August 6 at 6 p.m. For tickets, at Lm2.25 and Lm1.75 for children, may be obtained by calling Georgette Bezzina (tel: 2155-8668) or Paul Balluci (2156-1766).

¤ The SPCA (Gozo) Annual Flag Week is being held from August 11 to 18. Collectors will be on the Gozo ferries, principal resorts and in all towns and villages.
