No one was injured last night when an explosion shook the 12th May fireworks factory in the limits of San Blas, Siggiewi, police said.

The explosion occurred in one of the rooms of the factory where gunpowder is mixed in a barrel operated by a timer switch. The explosion did not cause any fire to spread, police said.
