The Confederation of Malta Trade Unions has expressed satisfaction at the unanimous approval by the government and the social partners of amendments to Article 64 of the Employment and Industrial Relations Bill.

The confederation said the amendments satisfied the requests it had made following the publication of the bill.

The agreement over the article proved that solutions to any problems could be found if the social partners engage in serious dialogue.

The CMTU augured that the process would continue.
