A 41-year-old man from Siggiewi was critically injured when he fell a height of two storeys while working at the site of the Hilton in St Julian's yesterday, police said.

The man fell through an unfinished lift shaft between the hotel and the Portomaso tower.

The accident happened at about 1.10 p.m.
