Fines on video rentals
Have you ever been fined on having retained a rented video or DVD beyond the stipulated rental period? I know some people who had to pay fines - some of them quite hefty. Well, fortunately not all video rental outlets are strict and it is worth knowing...
Have you ever been fined on having retained a rented video or DVD beyond the stipulated rental period? I know some people who had to pay fines - some of them quite hefty.
Well, fortunately not all video rental outlets are strict and it is worth knowing about lenient outlets. In this spirit we ought to compile a list of lenient video rental outlets to be added to our regular features and the first outlet on our list is:
Ray's Video Centre, Convent Street, Zabbar (tel: 2167-6550, 9944-1413).
Ray's policy is as follows:
The rental charge for a videotape is 50c and for a DVD 80c. Ideally, customers are expected to return these at their earliest convenience within reason but the limit is 15 days. This means that no extra charges over the above quoted charges will be levied for up to 15 days. With regard to customers who do not return the relevant video tapes or DVDs within 15 days, each case is assessed on its own merits and any extra charges would be negotiated within reason.
I invite video rental outlets who offer similar consumer-friendly terms to write to me with a view to compiling a list of lenient video rental outlets.
