A total of 1,200 participants from 122 national scout organisations are meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece, for the 36th World Scout Conference.

The discussion is focusing on the major challenges facing the Scout Movement.

The World Scout Conference is the governing body of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM), which is composed of 151 national scout organisations.

The chief scout of the Scout Association of Malta, Vincent Cassar, is representing the local association at the conference.

An exhibition highlighting various events, topics and activities of the Scout Association of Malta, such as the proposed Mediterranean Scout Jamboree to be held in Malta in 2005, is on display during the conference.
