A mobile kiosk owner yesterday called on the prime minister to issue the necessary directives to ensure the execution of an injustices tribunal decision in his favour.

George Galea filed a judicial protest in the Civil Court, explaining that the tribunal for the investigation of injustices had passed judgment on October 1, 1998 and had ruled that an injustice had been committed when he had been discriminated against and his permit for a mobile kiosk on Ghar id-Dud, Sliema, revoked.

Galea said he had however still not been given his permit back and he was being made to reapply for it and to abide by standards which had not been in existence when his permit was revoked.

Galea claimed it was the prime minister's duty to ensure the implementation of decisions by the injustices tribunal and he called on him to do something about the fact that he was still without a permit four years later.

Dr José Herrera and Dr Edward Zammit Lewis signed the protest.
