Etalk top-up service extended overseas

Vodafone Malta's etalk customers can now top-up their etalk account by purchasing a prepaid voucher or scratch card from Vodafone outlets in Italy (Omnitel), UK, Spain, Germany (Vodafone D2) and Hungary.

To make use of this service, etalk customers in these countries may purchase the respective Vodafone top-up card of that particular country, scratch the silver panel at the back of the card to reveal the top-up number and dial 123, free of charge. A customer care representative would then help the customer recharge his account.

This service is being gradually launched throughout Vodafone's global network and additional Vodafone operators will offer this service in the near future.

Customers who top up their account using foreign top-up cards while travelling will receive an SMS advising them of the successful recharge within an hour.

The customer's time window will be extended by 180 days, regardless of the amount topped up. This type of topping up is subject to an administration charge as imposed by the respective foreign network.

This service will soon also be available in Greece, the Netherlands, Sweden, Ireland and Portugal.
