Corinthia Hotels International has celebrated 15 years of hotel operations in Turkey by announcing plans to build a five-star hotel in Istanbul.

The company also said in a statement that it aims to further increase its portfolio of hotels worldwide with new destinations such as China, Croatia and Poland.

The company has four hotels in Turkey, including a five-star hotel in Tekirova, a four-star hotel in Antalya and two four-star hotels in Bodrum.

The company also has hotels in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Libya, Portugal, Russia, The Gambia, Togo, Tunisia and Malta.

The anniversary of operations in Turkey was marked with a gala dinner at the Corinthia Clubhotel Tekirova hosted by Corinthia group chairman and CEO Alfred Pisani. The guests included Antalya governor Ertugrul Dokuzoglu and mayor Bekir Kumbul.
