Rowers from the Marsa Regatta Club are to row their way from Pozzallo, Sicily, to Malta on July 27 to raise funds for the Siggiewi Homes for the Handicapped and the Dominican missions in Albania.

Twelve rowers have been training for months to prepare themselves for what has been called the Charity Dghajsa Crossing. The technical co-ordination is in the hands of Wilfred Sultana.

The four-oared boat which will be used for the crossing is expected to make it to Sliema on July 27 at around 8 p.m. The event will be part of the Kerygma Movement's campaign to raise funds for the two charities.
