A parliamentary delegation led by John Vella, MP, and including Frederick Azzopardi and Angelo Farrugia, recently attended the 11th annual session of the OSCE parliamentary assembly in Berlin.

The general theme of the conference was "Confronting Terrorism: Global challenge in the 21st century".

At the end of the session the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly adopted the Berlin Declaration and also elected Bruce George of the United Kingdom as its president for a two-year term.

Mr Vella was appointed member of the ad hoc committee on the Mediterranean within the OSCE assembly.
